- Experience working with Dalit, Adivasi, char dwellers, flood victims, and other marginalized communities is preferred.
- Proficient in agricultural training and workshop facilitation.
- Excellent report writing skills in both Bangla and English.
- Strong verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
- Ability to manage processes effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet browsing.
- Experience in agricultural interventions and livelihood projects is essential.
- Proven experience in capacity building and advocacy with various stakeholders.
- Experience working with ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups is advantageous.
- Proven track record in planning, program facilitation, and report writing skills.
- Valid motorcycle driving license required.
Responsibilities & Context: DASCOH Foundation is seeking a dynamic Technical Officer specializing in Agriculture for the THRIVE project, which operates in the Naogoan and Chapainawabganj districts from May 2024 to November 2026. This initiative is supported financially by SDC and technically by HEKS/EPER Bangladesh. The THRIVE project aims to enhance the resilience of Dalits, Adivasi, and other marginalized communities by fostering environments that improve access to rights, entitlements, and socio-economic opportunities. Key components of the project include engaging participants in livelihood initiatives and facilitating advocacy with government departments and other stakeholders.
The Technical Officer-Agriculture (TO-PNGO) will maintain close communication with the Project Coordinator of the THRIVE Project. Under the guidance of HEKS/EPER's Technical Officer, the TO-Agri (PNGO) will actively contribute to developing the Yearly Plan of Operation (YPO), ensuring that agriculture-related activities are integrated into the project framework. Responsibilities include encouraging project participants to initiate various agriculture-based Income Generating Activities (IGAs), gathering technical information from governmental and non-governmental sources, mapping agriculture-related services provided by agencies, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. The TO-Agri (PNGO) will also facilitate meetings, orientations, and training relevant to agriculture across all project locations while monitoring progress through household visits and reporting findings to supervisors for feedback.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain close communication with the THRIVE Project Coordinator.
- Collaborate with HEKS/EPER’s TO-Agriculture in developing the YPO, ensuring incorporation of agriculture-related activities.
- Build capacity of Community Development Organisation on adaptive livelihood initiatives.
- Encourage project participant households to initiate diverse agriculture-based IGAs.
- Collect agricultural technical information from various sources for quality project implementation.
- Market mapping and linkage development with market actors for creating marketing channel.
- Map agriculture-related services provided by governmental and non-governmental agencies and build linkages for better assistance.
- Facilitate meetings, orientations, trainings, and discussions relevant to agriculture in both districts.
- Mitigate donor compliance and share time to time.
- Conduct door-to-door visits to monitor project progress and report findings for further improvement.
- Ensure regular coordination with administrative and technical supervisors.
