Proven expertise in woven/denim/outerwear product categories
Strong grasp of AQL standards, technical audits, and quality systems
Skilled in tech pack interpretation, construction methods, and machinery handling
Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving ability
Seam strength, SPI control, and stitch appearance
Needle/fabric compatibility, seam puckering
Garment fit, tension-related measurement issues
Handling stretch, shrinkage, and distortion in sewing
Responsibilities & Context:
Review tech packs and pre-production samples for construction feasibility.
Lead risk analysis and PP meetings, ensuring accurate style setup on lines.
Guide mechanics on machine settings, attachments, folders, needles, and stitch types.
Troubleshoot complex sewing issues (puckering, seam slippage, needle damage).
Evaluate sample garments and provide construction feedback.
Support line changeover efficiency with IE and QCO teams.
Oversee inline quality checkpoints and resolve technical quality defects.
Analyze defects (e.g., broken/skip stitches, seam distortion) and ensure root cause resolution.
Collaborate with QA to achieve first-pass quality and reduce DHU.
Conduct operator and inspector training; develop visual quality standards.
Maintain technical files, defect logs, and productivity reports.
Share daily/weekly/monthly insights on reworks, rejections, and technical KPIs.
Coordinate with cutting, finishing, QA, and planning for seamless workflow.
