Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership to the project
∎ Function as a supervisor for Field Team Leader and Project Technical Specialists
∎ Directly support the consortium for the implementation of the project
∎ Play a leading role in the delivery of project outcomes and expected results in accordance to project strategy, combining market systems development with social behavior change
∎ Play an active role and coordinate with other BNA technical leads in designing, planning and implementation, to ensure synergies across the project Provide strategic direction and support to technical specialists in engaging with private sector actors and in designing and implementing interventions in partnership with the private sector
∎ Monitor progress of field teams and provide regular updates to the senior management team and lead partner to deliver high quality and measurable outcomes
∎ Ensure high quality reporting to the lead partner on a quarterly and yearly basis
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years of experience working in international development with a background in market systems
∎ Proven leadership in the administration of similar projects with skills in strategic planning, management, supervision and budgeting.
∎ Experience working with international donors and within consortium environments
∎ Prior experience in WASH sector
∎ Experience with private sector engagement required
∎ Familiarity and experience with project management concepts such as Logical
∎ Frameworks, Impact Logic or Results Chains
∎ Considerable understanding of rural markets, and rural service provision, and of the roles of the private sector, government and civil society/NGOs in creating an effective service market
∎ Experience invalue chain approaches to market development and sub-sector analysis
