Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate with Master's degree in Government & Political Science, International Relationship, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a suitable equivalent is preferred.
Job Context:
∎ Location: Any CHT District, Bangladesh
∎ Contract Type: Fixed Term
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing technical support to implementing partners to ensure the effective delivery of project interventions in the selected CHT districts through developing concept, strategies and activity implementation guidelines
∎ Providing orientation, coaching, mentoring and hands-on support to district technical coordinators and other key stakeholders
∎ Establishing and maintaining relationships with GoB stakeholders at national, regional, and sub-national level in order to establish nutrition governance process
∎ Strengthening capacity and facilitating inter-departmental coordination in nutrition sensitive programming and service delivery of relevant government line departments, Local Government Institutions (LGIs), Hill District Councils (HDCs), CHT traditional institutions and relevant Service Providers (SPs)
∎ Representing GAIN through advocacy and influencing related activities at national and regional levels on nutrition priorities and issues
∎ Collaborating with the LEAN monitoring team, and Knowledge Leadership team on monitoring and evidence generation to support with further learning and funding opportunities
Additional Requirements:
∎ The ideal candidate should have proven experience in developing and managing projects at a high level in a multi-cultural environment within government or international organizations. You should have in-depth understanding of the socio-economic, political, and cultural context of different ethnic communities of CHT. Candidate with experience in delivering an integrated nutrition project in food system is an asset.
∎ The postholder should demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills, with the ability to develop strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Strong knowledge and professional experience of working directly with remote communities in CHT, Bangladesh with a nutrition focus is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional team player with the ability to work in a matrix structure and must be flexible and willing to travel in challenging environments.
∎ You should have experience in analysis of data and quality reporting.
Salary:
∎ Salary: From BDT 1,555,584 - BDT 1,777,608 per annum, depending on experience. A higher increment maybe available for exceptional candidates.
