  • Age At least 25 years
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in human resources management, general administration, and operational support, preferably within a non-profit, multi-stakeholder organisation. They will demonstrate strong experience across the full employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will have experience supporting HR systems, processes and policy implementation, ensuring consistency, confidentiality and adherence to organisational standards while contributing to effective workforce planning and operational excellence. Experience working with HRIS systems preferred.

  • Operational support experience covering general office administration and travel management is required. Previous experience ensuring an efficient working environment and facilitating staff movement for an office setting is highly preferred.

About the role

GAIN is seeking to recruit a Human Resources and Administrative Officer to deliver efficient and compliant human resources and administrative support to the Bangladesh Country Office.

This role will be offered on a 2-year fixed term contract, subject to availability of funding and will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This advert closes on 26th July 2026. Key Responsibilities include.

  • Ensure compliance with organisational HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook, while adhering to Bangladesh labour law and promoting consistent application across the Country Office.

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Finance & Administration and global HR team to support the implementation of performance management processes, including mid-year and annual reviews, ensuring timely completion and promoting continuous performance feedback.

  • Serve as the primary focal point for HR queries, resolving issues where possible and escalating when appropriate.

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processes by collecting, verifying, and submitting payroll data within deadlines, including statutory deductions and tax-related documentation in line with Bangladesh regulations.

  • Liaise with external providers, including insurance and benefits administrators, to ensure effective service delivery and employee enrolment.

  • Oversee day-to-day office administration to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient working environment.

  • Coordinate the planning and deployment of hired vehicles to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely transport support for staff and programme activities.



Job Other Benifits:

    About our offer

    The starting gross salary on offer for this role is from BDT 1,207,404 – BDT 1,381,380 gross per annum, depending on experience.
