Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any of the following disciplines Gender studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Economics and Political Science will get preference. Have at least 3 years working experience in Gender based project and good communication, advocacy and lobbying skills are required. Gender and development training required. A full valid motorcycle driving license is mandatory.

∎ There is a vacancy for the following contractual position based at Nilphamari District for the SHOW Project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through Plan International.
∎ Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to facilitate/implement and monitor the Gender related interventions of SHOW project and assist in fulfillment of project goals with high level of community participation and ownership, address key gender inequalities by employing inter-related gender transformative strategies that aim to empower women and girls; create an enabling social environment for women and girls; and make health services delivery more responsive through: empowering women and girls over education on the prevention, care and treatment of MNCH/SRH issues as well as GE and decision-making. Establishment and strengthening of Self Help Groups (SHGs) to act as change agents on GE, the formation and strengthening of adolescent girls` peer groups to impart ASRHR information.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that all activities under GEAP carried out following the guideline and on time.
∎ Assist Gender specialist of Plan International Bangladesh for designing and implementation of GEAP
∎ Participate in all ToT and facilitate/ roll out other trainings on GE, ASRHR, MNCH and Male engagement at field level
∎ Monitor the field activities closely for effective implementation of GEAP under SHOW project
∎ Prepare the report on GEAP section of Semi-annual and annual report following BCO guideline and consultation with Gender Focal Person of LAMB.
∎ Prepare need based GEAP event report
∎ Align the project activities with LAMB Gender policy.
∎ Engaging men to address cultural gender-related barriers through formation and education of men's groups, adolescent boys' peer groups and others.
∎ Facilitate training for project staff and community health committees.
∎ Periodical visit and assess the situation of CC, UH&FWCs in the lenses of Gender equality and responsive service delivery.
∎ Advocacy with District, Upazila and Union level stakeholders in collaboration with Woman Affairs Officer.
∎ Assist to establish gender sensitive service and referral system.
∎ Resource mobilization and sharing the learning among project staff.
∎ Develop GE messages for campaign on different national and International day observation.
∎ Good judgment and resourcefulness in problem solving and practice team approach.
∎ Good relationship with colleagues, donor, Government department and other stakeholders.
∎ Carry on the decisions of senior management of LAMB and SHOW Project line authority.
