• Essential: Certified Paramedic qualification
• Desired: Midwife Assistant, Nurse Aide or assistant.
• Working experience in the health settings (minimum 1 year)
• Desirable: having experience in pediatric/neonates/Nutrition/OPD.
• Desirable: Working experience with MSF or humanitarian Organization in Rohingya desirable.

• Assisting the nurse in organizing and providing care and treatments to patients, respecting at all times, the rules of hygiene, safety, comfort, dignity, medical secret and patient confidentiality. Giving response to nurse’s requirements in case of an emergency
• Participating in the surveillance and monitoring of the patient and reporting to the nurse any relevant information. Compensating patients’ possible lack of autonomy by assisting and helping them in feeding, personal hygiene, movements and general comfort
• Participating in the monitoring of nursing activities (correctly fill in patient files, etc.) and ensuring a relevant transfer of information between duty teams. Reporting any problem arising in the care unit, especially the loss, robbery or damage of equipment or medicines.
• Ensuring cleanliness of his/her working environment (including facilities, material, linen, equipment, and carrying out the sorting and disposal of waste)
• Working together with the nurses, Hygiène Agents and care-takers.
• Participating actively in the hospital platform (meetings, committee,.), trainings and in the basic health education sessions
• Participating in any other related activities as requested by the line manager
• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.
• Taking and or assisting the nurse to take patients vital signs and escalate as required - Immediately inform the responsible nurse or doctor if the patient’s condition seems to be altered or if the caregivers have questions or suggestions about the treatment, Re-Assess patients according to the directions given for vital sign frequency.
• Nutrition assessment (MUAC, Height, Weight & Z-Score) in different areas like Triage , DTC OPD, ER, IPD
• Supportive care to Homeless/Abandoned patients including their personal hygiene ( taking whole responsibilty for that patients). Accompany the abandoned patient in moving, positioning and walking, support in cleaning, bathing & feeding.
• Monitor the mental status, identify early signs of illness, relapse, deteriortion and immediately inform to the senior nurse or doctor. Provide emotional support to the patient.
• Prepare formula according to MSF guidelines and ensure cleaning (of material), storing and distribution of formula, according to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)- and other relevant guidelines. Also taking responsibility in terms of the patient's food provision process.
• Ensure proper care and minor maintance of bio-medical devices according to standard MSF protocols following regular checklist and report NTS immediately if anything damaged or need to be replaced
• Willing to participate in ER minor procedures and wound care and to provide support to the team as required.
• Monitor the patient & notice any change in the individual health, record & report the difference.
• Deliver specimen and collect report from lab when required. Particilating vaccination program in KTP.
• To participate patients feeding( spoon feeding, NG feeding management), change position, back care, bed bath, mouth care & continous catheter care, daily cold chain management and documenting the procedures by collaborating with the responsible nurse.
• Assist with moving the patient safely from one place to another, such as from the bed to the toilet, to x-ray, to lab or transferring them from one department to another department
• Performing at night shift in accordance with hospital need.
• Ensuring that used instruments are sent to sterilization service and properly stored after cleaning. Ensuring cleanliness of patient environment.
• Report the incident causing harm to patient, staff or organization, participate in root cause analysis and improvement plan and follow.
• Ensure IPC in point of care by ensuring minor maintenance of biomedical device, daily biomedical cleaning in collaboration with nurses, enviromental cleansing, personal hygiene (Patient & Staff) and filled up the required IPC documents close collaboration with NTSs and Nurses.
• Be flexible to respond positively in any unexpected situation, to do the task assigned by the NTSs e.g. Mass casuality incidence management, patients overflow in Triage, ER, DTC & IPD.
• Need to ensure the bedside handover during the overlapping time, ensure proper instrumnets handover to next shift.
• Assisting and supporting patient’s caregiver in breastfeeding and Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC),
• Urine measurement and emptying the urine bag for the patient with a urinary catheter.
• Ensure patients files and nursing records are updated accurately.
• Provide health education and counselling to the patient or patient attendant as required.
• Assist nurses and nurse supervisor with the departmental daily or weekly inventory.
• Maintain supportive working relationship by stepping in to assist colleagues in other departments when they are understaffed or overwhelmed and offering assistance in non-technical tasks of other profiles like nutrition assistants, registrar, hygiene agents etc. when they are unavailable due to breaks, meetings, or emergencies.
• Work in any area assigned by the line manager and participate in other related activities as requested by the line manager.
05 Permanent & 01 Temporary Position. Salary according to level Three (Level 3) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 45000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
