• Essential Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in the Science Faculty. Higher degree or education in Information & Technology or Mathematics desirable with proven computer literacy.
• Essential minimum 2 (Two) years’ work experience in medical data man-agement such as data entry, analysis, DHIS2, Go-Data, EWARS & Data Ar-chiving.
• Essential : English and Bangla Language
• Desirable : Chittagongian Dialect.
• Essential computer literacy (word, excel, KOBO, PowerPoint and internet).
• Performing data entry of both routine & epidemiological information into select databases program and creating appropriate reports, providing data for project development purposes.
• Ensuring that all data entered has been authorized and that appropriate documentation has been received (patient records, treatment monitoring, etc.). Ensuring that all data entry processes occur in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensuring all data collected and entered to databases is consistently accurate and complete. Being responsible for ensuring that quality control queries of the database are followed up, ensuring identification of data entry errors and corrections. Immediately reporting to the supervisor, any anomalies in the databases.
• Collecting, filling and storing all the medical data related documents according to MSF standards.
• Communicating regularly with the health care workers (HCW), assisting in the (re)training, when necessary, on proper registration of patients, proper filling of the various forms, clarifying queries, obtaining missing information and correcting errors, ensuring they have ongoing sufficient supplies of necessary hardcopy data collection forms
• Assisting in the compilation and preparation of regular reports and providing detailed information to medical teams (weekly, monthly, according to patient treatment requirements)
• Ensure data capture from all service delivery points, including referrals to external facilities (CSH, CMCH, MCH); Collect, verify, and enter medical data from different Departments -OPD, IPD, ER, Isolation, Maternity, EPI, SRH, Mental Health, LAB, AMR, Procedure Room, Watsan etc. into the MSF HIS or other agreed database systems in a timely manner.
• Check completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data; follow up with relevant staff to correct errors or fill gaps. Flag unusual trends or discrepancies (e.g., sudden spike in infectious or communicable disease related cases, unexplained increase in mortality etc.). Conduct spot-checks of registers in the facility to ensure data matches reporting.
• Liaise with medical teams and Departmental Staffs to harmonize data definitions and reporting timelines.
• Ensure patient data confidentiality in line with humanitarian medical ethics and MSF’s data protection guidelines.
• Archive both paper and electronic records securely, with controlled access.
• Train health facility staff on data recording tools, indicator, definitions, and reporting procedures.
• Assist in rapid data collection during outbreak investigations (e.g., cholera, measles, diphtheria, chicken pox). Adapt data collection tools quickly to capture new indicators as required by emergency response.
• Attend weekly meetings in departments.
• Articulate challenges and suggest solutions when there are issues faced in the data department.
• Practice flexibility with regards to work responsibilities.
• Support supervisor in case of absence.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient data and maintaining data security.
• Assist supervisor in archiving and disposal process of HIS forms, Patient Files and other medical documents.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor Medical Data
This Permanent Position. Salary according to level Four (Level 4) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 55,500 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
