Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leadership: Lead and mentor a sub-team of SQA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define testing strategies, goals, and objectives.
∎ Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans based on product requirements and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and contribute to overall project planning.
∎ Test Execution: Oversee and actively participate in test execution, including functional, regression, performance, and automation testing. Ensure that testing activities are completed within project timelines and meet quality standards.
∎ Automation: Drive the development and implementation of automated testing processes to increase efficiency and test coverage. Evaluate and select appropriate tools and frameworks for test automation.
∎ Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to identify areas for improvement in both processes and product quality. Implement and enforce best practices for QA processes and methodologies.
∎ Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to understand system architecture and product specifications. Foster a collaborative environment to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
∎ Data Integrity Testing: Conduct required in-depth testing of expected data integrity in various parts of the internal system. Solid knowledge of SQL and No-SQL database queries, along with scripting capabilities to conduct these tests effectively.
∎ Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the application's stability, responsiveness, and scalability under various conditions.
∎ Security Testing: Participate in security testing efforts to ensure the security and integrity of software products and data. Keep a hacker's mindset to find loopholes in implementation and help fix security issues within the software and services.
∎ Reporting: Generate and communicate test reports, including defect tracking, test coverage, and overall project quality status. Provide clear and concise reports of testing processes and results in the issue tracking system.
∎ Quality Assurance Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance, and implement these practices to enhance the overall testing process.
