Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Management

• To ensure the smooth functioning of all computer lab hardware, software, and network systems by providing technical support, performing maintenance, and assisting users with troubleshooting

  Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other lab equipment.

• Diagnose and repair hardware issues (RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboard, peripherals, etc.).

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and ensure all devices are in working condition.

• Maintain an updated inventory of lab hardware and accessories.

Software Management

• Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac) and applications.

• Apply system patches, antivirus, and security updates regularly.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software crashes, errors, and compatibility issues.

• Ensure backup, recovery, and data protection procedures are in place.

• Intermediate Adobe Photoshop Proficiency.  

Networking & Connectivity

• Set up and manage LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity within the lab.

• Troubleshoot network issues to ensure uninterrupted internet access.

• Manage file sharing, print sharing, and lab server configurations.

• Knowledge of Basic Website Hosting and email server configuration.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN, IP configuration, routers, switches).

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, Security+)

User Support

• Provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and lab users.

• Guide users in following safe computing practices.

• Assist in conducting lab sessions smoothly without technical interruptions.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

• Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to lab infrastructure.

• Prepare periodic reports on lab performance and requirements.
