Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the Supply Chain team, including Supply Supervisors, and ensuring they perform the tasks linked to their role
∎ Being responsible for the order, purchase, stock and freight management in the coordination or in the project level, monitoring and ensuring an efficient implementation of the overall daily supply chain activities
∎ Monitoring and ensuring a smooth running supply administration and the respect of the implemented supply procedures, proposing adjustments where needed.
∎ Being responsible for the supply database and the correct filing and archiving of the supply documentation in order to guarantee the availability and the coherence of supply data
∎ Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their orders status (BO confirmation) and prioritizing procurement and transport according to their needs
∎ Collecting claims from the field, analysing causes and making corrective actions.
∎ In collaboration with the Supply Supervisor (if any) and in coordination with the HR department, supervising the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
∎ Informing the Logistics / Supply Manager in case of any major issue and draws-up all required reporting, in order to keep updated and reliable information that will help in decision-making
∎ Performing any other tasks within the scope of his role, as directed by supervision and according to the needs of the mission
∎ Supervise Storekeeper and facilitate the Stock management with good monitoring tools (condition, organization, stock count, temperature control)
∎ Being responsible for the timely and correctly preparation of all required reports and supply chain related reporting tools, as per MSF guidelines.
∎ Being responsible for proper and propositive communicating about all supply chain related matters with other relevant departments, giving feedback on order status.
∎ Receive and review Internal Requests, prioritize them, identify the sourcing method (local purchase Ukhiya or Cox’s, Dhaka Coordination purchasing and Stock Request.
∎ To organize project purchasing activities according to the MSF purchasing policy, which include:
∎ Together with purchaser
∎ Analyze market sources and pricing conditions among different suppliers in order to ensure an ongoing purchasing activities
∎ Constantly assessing local market, seeking products and suppliers, that offers best value for the price, guarantee best quality with good lead time for MSF activities
∎ Obtaining different quotations for the Suppliers and completing Compatitive Bid Analysis in order to place Purchase Orders to suppliers, with whom prices has been agreed
∎ Supervise Order Processing Officer for all purchasing documents that are needed to complete and track all orders according to the MSF standard filing system.
∎ • Is responsible to follow-up all validation signatures and to arrange payment with finance
∎ • Is the focal point in receiving items from Coordination to the field and gives feetback to the shipper.
∎ • Maintains up to date knowledge on transport market, companies, prices and services and agrees contracts with the carriers. Searching for the new carriers and transport possibilities, when there is a need.
∎ • Is responsible for the consignment through to its arrival at destination and will be contacted should any problem arise during transportation.
∎ • Ensures that the supply contracts are compliant to the Bangladesh taxation matrix.

∎ Experience • Essential in supply chain management (minimum 2 years) and in organization of supply administration and procedures, or
∎ • Desirable proven understanding of MSF Field Logistics (general knowledge of MSF equipment and kits)
∎ Language • English essential, Bangla essential, Chittagonian/Burmese desirable.
∎ Knowledge • Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet), Unifield or Supply Software desirable
