Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical from any public, private institute or related field would be preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining a safe and clean environment of the building.
∎ Ensure all electrical equipment’s, generator etc. are always in active, safe and in order.
∎ Check and monitor the physical condition, general upkeep and cleanliness of the building and its surroundings.
∎ Identify problems including all technical problem and solve problems and/or take initiatives to solve problems in relation to electrical, civil and mechanical functions.
∎ Collect the meter reading of the sub-meters of the tenants at the last date of the same month or first day of the next month maintaining similarity with the DPDC.
∎ Scheduling regular building maintenance and janitorial services.
∎ Ensuring that occupants are being provided with proper utilities.
∎ Collect rent and utility bills from tenants in time.
∎ Overseeing security, fire prevention, and other safety systems.
∎ Supervising ground staff.
∎ Managing and supervising employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property.
∎ Providing training for building employees as needed.
∎ Evaluating employee performance and providing direction, correction, or additional training to ensure proper maintenance of the building.
∎ Resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building tenants.
∎ Assisting with emergency response and evacuations.
∎ Maintaining records of tenants including all administrative, MOUs, financials, and legal aspects, in coordination with relevant departments of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear, report to UCEP Management, take actions.
∎ Performs any other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Two or more years’ experience working in a commercial building maintenance and management. Previous experience working in a similar role will be preferred.
∎ Must have the ability to climb steps and ladders, bend, stoop, push pull and lift to fifty pounds.
∎ Must have the ability to wear all prescribed safety equipment including a respirator.
∎ Working knowledge of Direct Digital Controls and Building Automation Controls will be preferred.
∎ Working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the electrical disciplines.
∎ Strong people management and relationship skills.
∎ Working knowledge of safety procedures.
∎ Ability to train and supervise other support staff.
∎ Ability to plan and schedule work, including determining staff, equipment and supplies needed.
∎ Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
∎ Computer skilled in Microsoft office.
∎ Must be willing to work varied hours.
∎ Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
