The Security Supervisor oversees and manages security guards, ensuring effective patrols, access control, and compliance with security procedures. They respond to incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective measures to maintain safety and protect property.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead, supervise, and motivate security guards, particularly during night shifts.
Provide clear instructions, resolve issues, and ensure guards perform their duties effectively
Act as the first line of leadership during alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
Take prompt, decisive action to minimize risks and protect property and people.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrols, and security operations.
Lead proactive initiatives to identify vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular supervisory patrols across the factory area, especially at vulnerable points (gates, windows, perimeter).
Verify that guards are present at posts, alert, and following duty schedules.
Randomly check patrol logs for accuracy and completeness.
Inspect access control procedures at entry/exit points.
Ensure ID checks, visitor logs, and vehicle entry records are properly maintained.
Test and verify lock systems, biometric devices, or gates to ensure they are operational.
Confirm that CCTV cameras, alarms, and lighting systems are functional.
Report and escalate technical issues immediately for maintenance.
Monitor live feeds periodically to ensure coverage of sensitive areas.
Check if guards are performing timely patrols and making proper entries in logbooks.
Provide on-the-spot corrections or instructions when lapses are observed.
Conduct spot tests (e.g., simulate a security breach) to assess readiness
