The primary responsibility of this position is to support operations related to shipments in Bangladesh.
Plan, execute and control of the land transportation of finished products, components and raw materials throughout the Bangladesh, between ports, Manufacturing plants,3PL and Distribution Centers, monitoring transits and ensuring that shipments are delivered in a timely manner. Manage the inventories of maritime containers and vans in the region, responsible of Bangladesh transport management in the Manufacturing plants and DC's, complying with the Container baseline for Bangladesh and reducing the payment of rent and extra delay costs.
Review and analysis of transportation schedules with Manufacturing Plant and DC's, in order to better manage transportation capacity and container availability, complying with the plants processes and requirements.
Revision and measure the container volume balance, complying with carrier commitments and avoiding additional logistic costs due to inefficiencies (Bobtails) and demurrage costs and penalties.
Revision and coordination of all additional movements in the Bangladesh, to adjust the good flow process, providing solutions to reduce any additional cost related.
Review of all transportation costs are within budget, control and advise of additional movements or cost with the inland carries.
Handling of special shipments, such as machinery, yarn or fabric; from pickup to delivery to final destination.
To allocate and manage staff resources according to the changing needs.
Conduct daily meeting and brief team.
Coordinate with the suppliers and supervise to make sure that all equipment (trucks and containers) is CTPAT aligned and available for the business requirements.
Supervise all facility comply with CTPAT.
Supervise and monitor the systematic receiving/ shipping during processing and cross check with relevant documentation.
Coordinating with internal and external stake holder to support the daily target.
Perform any other operation-related function indicated by immediate supervisor.
Transport: Pick and Drop Facilities (Depends on availability)
Weekend: Saturday;
Office Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM including 1 hour lunch break
