Tech Marine Solutions Ltd. (TMS) is a Heavy Marine Transportation Engineering Company specializing in marine transportation engineering, ship design, marine structures, engineering consultancy, and project execution. Since its establishment, TMS has been delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions for marine and offshore projects.
TMS is looking for a Structural Engineer to lead grillage and sea-fastening design for offshore and heavy marine transportation projects, from concept through fabrication and site execution.
Key Responsibilities
Grillage & Sea-Fastening Design: Design, analyze, and detail structural grillages, sea-fastening arrangements, and temporary transport frames in accordance with marine/offshore class standards (DNV, ABS, or AISC).
Vessel Dynamics & Load Calculations: Evaluate vessel motion (roll, pitch, heave) and calculate 3D dynamic reaction forces, inertial forces, and wave-induced loads acting on cargo and sea-fastenings during sea voyages.
Structural Analysis & FEA: Perform structural calculations using standard beam/column modeling software, finite element analysis (FEA), and hand/spreadsheet calculations to check allowable stresses, shear, and weld strength.
Site Supervision & Construction Coordination: Interface with fabrication yards and dockyard teams to oversee the construction, fitting, and welding of grillage and sea-fastening structures.
Interface with Project Stakeholders: Coordinate deliverables with the prime contractor and class surveyors to ensure structural designs comply with project and marine safety specifications.
