• At least 7 years of experience, preferable in the buying house business area.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both, written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of suppliers (price, quality, capacity & lead-times)
• Practical experience as a Merchandiser and on the technical production side.
• Strong in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic merchandising software.
• Ability to handle small and big quantities and develop any knit and Woven item (Top-Bottom)
• Experience in International Buying House/ Trading House and Liaison office will be an added advantage.
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Strong knowledge of fabric construction, knitting techniques, and garment manufacturing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Manage the merchandising team for the smooth functioning of the merchandising operations
• Drive develop of new samples based on buyer specifications, market trends, and production capabilities.
• Prepare accurate product costing and confidently negotiate pricing with suppliers, balancing profitability and market expectations.
• Liaise with factories and quality teams to ensure seamless order execution and on-time delivery.
• Monitor order lifecycle, including fabric/ trim sourcing, approvals and critical deadlines to avoid delays.
• Stay updated with trends and proactively propose fabrications, designs, or techniques to buyers for increased engagement.
• Ensure all products meet buyer quality and compliance requirements; manage associated documentation including POs, invoices, and shipping records.
• Provide clear status updates and risk assessments to internal stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design, merchandising, sales, and logistics, procurement to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the production cycle.
• Must have capabilities for sample checking with proper Measurement & others as per Buyer requirement.
• Maintain production & QC file.
• Ensure samples meet fit, fabric, color, print, and construction specifications.
• Coordinate lab testing for fabric shrinkage, colorfastness, and durability to meet buyer standards.
•  Conduct pre-production (PP) meeting to ensure clarity on buyer requirements.
• Ensure products meet quality standards through inline and final inspection.
• Work with third-party testing agencies to comply with buyer-specific regulations (OEKOT-TEX, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, BCI, etc.)
