Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leverage expertise in sourcing, importing dyes and washing chemicals to ensure quality, compliance with regulations, and cost-effective procurement while fostering sustainable practices.
∎ Lead and mentor procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
∎ Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
∎ Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels.
∎ Conduct cost analysis to identify savings opportunities. Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
∎ Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
∎ Work closely with other departments, such as production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement efforts with overall business objectives. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Assess and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions. Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
∎ Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in procurement practices. Establish and maintain quality standards for suppliers.
∎ Utilize data analysis tools to track procurement performance and make informed decisions. Prepare reports on procurement activities, savings, and supply chain performance for management.
