Responsibilities & Context: - Lead, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the garments manufacturing operation in compliance with ISO 9001, buyer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Ensure effective implementation of quality policies, procedures, SOPs, and manuals across cutting, sewing, finishing, washing, and packing sections.
- Oversee factory quality assurance and quality control systems to ensure consistent product quality and on-time shipment.
- Plan, conduct, and monitor internal audits, buyer audits, and third-party audits; coordinate with certification bodies and buying houses.
- Ensure compliance with buyer codes of conduct, social compliance standards (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance where applicable), and factory compliance requirements.
- Monitor and analyze quality KPIs such as DHU, RFT, defect rate, rework, and customer complaints; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead root cause analysis for quality failures and implement sustainable corrective actions across production lines.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Technical, IE, and Compliance teams to ensure quality standards are met at all production stages.
- Ensure fabric, trims, and accessories quality inspection in line with approved standards and buyer specifications.
- Oversee inline, end-line, and final inspections; ensure AQL standards are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, wastage, alteration, and rework using quality tools and lean methodologies.
- Develop and conduct quality training programs for QA, QC, supervisors, and operators.
- Manage and maintain all quality documentation, reports, and records as per QMS requirements.
- Support new style development, pilot runs, and risk assessments from a quality perspective.
- Lead and mentor the QMS and QA team to build a strong quality culture focused on customer satisfaction.
