∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for planning and introducing a comprehensive plan for maize contract farming based on cost and benefit analysis and projected return on investment.
∎ Work effectively to strengthen the supply channel and to meet the organization's objectives.
∎ Explore different areas or sites to identify and select potential and prospective farmers to maximize maize collection opportunities.
∎ Convey extensive and visible ideas about all aspects of maize contract farming business to the targeted and potential farmers, such as distribution of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.
∎ Negotiate the terms of deeds, agreements and pricing with farmers to meet business requirements and in compliance with the company policy.
∎ Ensure that farmers are providing the maize as per quality standard. (e.g. moisturizer level, nutrition factors, fungus free, acceptable range of broken maize, etc.)
∎ Arrange meetings with local farmers and provide technical know-how on best cultivation practices.
∎ Maintain an effective relationship with the farmers and local people to run the maize collection smoothly.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 - 5 years experience in managing maize contract growers/farmers in North Bengal
∎ Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
∎ Have excellent negotiation skills and bargaining power.
∎ Have direct exposure in dealing with farmers.
∎ Have good knowledge about the ingredients and components of quality maize.
∎ Have the ability to work under pressure and to travel extensively to different parts of Bangladesh.

Salary:
∎ Emolument: Depending upon the qualification, experience and profile of the candidate, remuneration will be competitive.
