Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate and oversee all logistics and shipping operations, including import, export, and domestic shipments.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, load lists, bill of lading (BL), and airway bills.
∎ Manage shipment processes in compliance with local and international regulations and guidelines.
∎ Proficiently handle letter of credit transactions and ensure compliance with associated shipping requirements.
∎ Liaise with vendors, freight forwarders, and carriers to negotiate favorable shipping terms and secure cost-effective transportation solutions.
∎ Coordinate container loading, monitoring weight limits, stacking patterns, and ensuring proper utilization of container space.
∎ Communicate with various internal teams (Production, Sales, Customer Service) to ensure smooth logistics operations and timely order fulfillment.
∎ Track and monitor the movement of shipments, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Proactively identify and address any potential issues or delays in the shipping process, implementing appropriate corrective measures.
∎ Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile shipping-related documentation and invoices.
∎ Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and shipping operations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and shipping operations, preferably in a senior/executive role.
∎ In-depth knowledge and understanding of preparing shipping documents, customs regulations, letter of credit, shipping terms, ocean freight, airway bills, and other related processes.
∎ Strong familiarity with container loading optimization techniques and proper handling of different types of cargo.
∎ Proficient in using logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
∎ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Familiarity with relevant local and international shipping regulations and compliance standards.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
