Experience:
Experience in handling: Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), Air Freight, Project CargoIn-Depth understanding of Bangladesh trade lanes (e.g., China, EU, USA, Middle East)
Experience working with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents
Familiarity with freight software / ERP systems
Should have strong knowledge of: Export & Import procedures, Incoterms, HS Codes, Shipping documentation (BL, AWB, Invoice, Packing List, etc.)
Experience working with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents
Familiarity with Freight Software /ERP systems
Should have the capability to set KPIs and monitor performance
Strong reporting skills (Sales pipeline, forecast, revenue analysis)
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Strong Client Portfolio (importers/exporters in RMG, Pharma, FMCG, Industrial sectors)
Business Development & Sales
Identify and approach potential exporters, importers, buying houses, manufacturers, and traders.
Generate new business opportunities for air freight, sea freight, and logistics services.
Conduct regular customer visits and sales presentations.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets.
Participate in industry events, networking programs, and trade fairs.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Address customer inquiries, complaints, and service-related issues promptly.
Conduct periodic business reviews with key accounts.
Revenue & Shipment Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Increase shipment volumes and gross profit margins.
Monitor sales performance and market trends.
Prepare sales forecasts and business plans.
Quotation & Pricing
Coordinate with pricing, operations, and overseas agents for competitive rates.
Prepare freight quotations and service proposals.
Negotiate rates and service agreements with customers.
Ensure profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
Agent & Network Development
Develop relationships with overseas freight forwarding agents.
Explore nomination shipment opportunities.
Coordinate with international partners to secure inbound and outbound business.
Promote Bangladesh-origin export and import opportunities within agent networks.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies.
Identify emerging industries and trade lanes.
Analyze market trends affecting freight and logistics business.
Recommend new service opportunities to management.
Coordination with Operations
Ensure smooth execution of customer shipments.
Coordinate with operations, documentation, customs clearance, and finance teams.
Follow up on shipment status and service quality.
Resolve operational challenges affecting customers.
Credit & Payment Follow-Up
Ensure customers comply with approved credit terms.
Coordinate with finance for collection of outstanding receivables.
Monitor customer payment performance and credit exposure.
Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
Maintain CRM and customer databases.
Submit customer visit reports and pipeline updates.
Report sales activities and business opportunities to management.
