Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyses and assesses incoming requests for samples and quotations to ensure that the technical specification in the requests are:
∎ technically possible and correct
∎ within the company's production capabilities
∎ the best way to achieve the desired result requested by the customer
∎ Identifies technical bottlenecks and their commercial implications for incoming requests, proposes solutions in agreement with the Global Customer Specialist/Retailer, Sales and the Customer
∎ Pre-flight of customer supplied information for a development to ensure a streamlined downstream process
∎ Assesses then validates or rejects product cost estimates generated by the Global Customer Specialist/Retailer, identifies deviations and addresses this with the Global Customer Specialist/Retailer.
∎ Execution
∎ Designs, from generic development specifications, products that can be produced locally and worldwide while meeting the customer's briefs
∎ Visit customers & brands as the technical product expert to advise and educate the customer
∎ Responsible for the profitability of the individual products through ownership of the global costing for the products they engineer
∎ Takes into account the underlying production process (including production techniques, machines and materials).
∎ Ensures the product complies with internal and external requirements and regulations (including the use of brand-mandated materials).
∎ Direct liaison with manufacturing to project manage samples through the production process and troubleshoot production issues as they arise,
∎ Manage sample assessment to quality standards and internal approval
∎ Owns the product specifications
∎ Is responsible for the local availability of required materials for development / sampling
∎ Leads and creates process improvements in the global development cycle of their product category, including SOPs and process checklists.
∎ Acts as an important technical source of information and sparring partner (e.g. about design, price/costs, lead time) for 'own' product categories.
∎ Advises and provides direction on innovation, optimizations, and improvements within 'own' product categories.
∎ Supports and advises the sales team technically and from a subject matter perspective in major development projects.
∎ Sets technical concepts, cost calculations and estimates with regard to delivery times and risks for 'own' product categories in the context of strategic deals and/or complex product categories.
∎ Must be capable to costing all types of garments accessories products.
∎ Ensure required sample supply with the time line.
∎ Ensure samples quantity, quality & size as per requirement.
∎ Resolve the complaints/comments of different buyer.
∎ Work with sales & marketing responsible to supply required sample.
∎ Any others task by line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working with H&M, Varner and M&S.
∎ Must be excellent communication skills both written and speaking in English.
∎ Smart, pleasant behavior, team player, paired with agile mindset and can-do attitude.
