Job Summary/Highlight:
Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process of capital machinery, engineering spares, consumables, and industrial services from both local and international sources. The role focuses on ensuring timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices, maintaining transparency across the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) cycle, and building a compliant and reliable vendor base. Involves regular market and factory visits, effective vendor negotiations, and continuous process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of a Sr. Executive-Commercial & Supply Chain:
1. Understanding the purchase requirements (primarily capital machinery, engineering spares & consumables, industrial projects, electro-mechanical works, lab equipment etc.) of the internal customers and arrange supply of products & services accordingly from local & foreign sources.
2. Ensure quality products/services are delivered within timeline at competitive prices.
3. Maintain a robust tracking system of the P2P cycle to ensure visibility, compliance and transparency.
4. Develop a vendor base which complies with the terms & conditions of the business and regulatory aspects of the country.
5. Visit own factories and supply markets periodically to enhance ties with stakeholders and leverage on that to derive favorable outcome.
6. Negotiate periodic rate agreements for frequently purchased items for efficient buying.
7. Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
8. Engage with the relevant stakeholders ethically and professionally to ensure sound working environment.
