Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and adapt training modules for staff, outreach volunteers, and community groups, based on the revised roles and responsibilities defined under the HDC project.
∎ Work with the Manager – Knowledge Management & Reporting to ensure training materials are practical, context-specific, and aligned with project goals.
∎ Translate or simplify training materials where necessary to accommodate varying literacy levels among trainees.
∎ Ensure training content incorporates cross-cutting themes such as inclusion, accountability, and safeguarding.
∎ Facilitate regular in-person training sessions for BRAC staff at the camp level on integrated roles and service delivery.
∎ Deliver orientation and refresher trainings for outreach volunteers based on newly assessed and integrated responsibilities.
∎ Train newly consolidated and existing community groups on multi-sectoral messaging and community engagement techniques.
∎ Coordinate all logistical aspects of training events including scheduling, venue arrangement, materials preparation, and attendance tracking.
∎ Collect feedback and pre/post-training assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions.
∎ Maintain detailed training records including participant lists, session summaries, and feedback reports.
∎ Collaborate with the MEAL team to document outcomes and lessons learned from training activities.
∎ Provide updates to supervisor on training progress, challenges, and success stories.

∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ The Specialist, Capacity Building & Training is responsible for the practical implementation of training and capacity development initiatives under the HDC project. This role focuses on developing training materials, facilitating sessions, and providing direct support to staff, volunteers, and community groups at the camp level. The position plays a key role in strengthening the operational capacity of camp teams and community people to deliver integrated services effectively and according to their revised roles and responsibilities.
