The SHIKHA project under Social Compolinace Programme aims to strengthen prevention and response to all forms of gender based violence (GBV) at the public and workplaces in Bangladesh through legislative change and effective enforcement, strengthening systems and addressing harmful social norms and gender stereotypes. The project will work in Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattogram, Barisal, Narayanganj and Rajshahi districts in 250 workplaces, 270 educational institutions, public places, digital platforms and with the Government of Bangladesh.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze capacity development needs for the RMG factories and other private sector organisations.
• Develop comprehensive training modules focused on safeguarding and due diligence in RMG workplaces and other private sector organisations.
• Conduct interactive safeguarding awareness sessions and training to enhance awareness and implementation of safeguarding measures.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, pre and post training assessment, reaction and learning level evaluation.
• Engage with top & mid-level management and workers to understand their needs and tailor training accordingly.
• Provide ongoing support and resources to implement safeguarding measures effectively.
• Keep well-informed of the latest research, trends, and best practices in safeguarding, GBV, bullying and sexual harassment prevention at work place.
• Conducts field visits to ensure proper implementation of activities and prepares, analyses all relevant reports and documentations as required by the supervisor

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
