Educational Requirements:
∎ LL.B (honors) & LL.M from any reputed university.
∎ Candidates with Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) having been called to the Bar of England & Wales or Doctoral degree in law shall be given preference.
∎ Candidates having Bar Council enrollment shall be given preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To conduct & monitor litigation, regulatory & compliance related matters of the Bank meticulously and with utmost diligence.
∎ To manage and organize with the external panel lawyers across the country for litigations /documentation related matters (civil and criminal) & to attend court proceedings when required.
∎ Maintain Correspondences and meet up the requirement of Bangladesh Bank, Ministry of Finance, Anti-Corruption Commission and other Regulatory Authorities regarding cases, suits, writs and various legal issues.
∎ Advising and rendering general legal support to all the stakeholders. And to synchronize with the stakeholders in resolution of Legal, regulatory & compliance related matters.
∎ To guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
∎ To scrutinize & review all sorts of documentations having legal implications.
∎ To Provide Legal opinion to different Branches/Divisions/Department-Unit on various legal issues. Vetting of Agreements/Deeds/Plaints/Petition-Application/Affidavit-in-Opposition to save the legal interest of the Bank.
∎ To conduct the MIS & Reporting for the Legal Department.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Experience of working in the Legal arena of the Banking sector for at least 1-5 years depending on the position applied for
∎ Must maintain honesty & diligence in discharging the responsibilities
∎ Must be dynamic person having strong interpersonal skill
∎ Must have good command in both English & Bengali
∎ Must be result driven
∎ Must be enthusiast to uphold the interest of the bank at all material times
