In order to successfully implement the child protection activities e.g. psychosocial support-related activities in the field of Bhashanchar under HCMP. The position is to ensure effective Psychosocial support, and the Psychologist will be responsible for developing material, working on research, providing training and workshops on psychosocial components, along with monitoring the activities and providing support through frequent field visits. Additionally, the incumbent is supposed to participate in meetings, develop curriculum, and plan and implement activities for beneficiaries
•Conduct individual counseling sessions for programme participants, volunteers, and staff.
•Facilitate trainings, orientations, and group sessions on psychosocial support (PSS).
•Develop and contextualize PSS modules, including translation and documentation.
•Provide supportive supervision and technical guidance to child protection and GBV teams.
•Organize capacity-building activities and meetings with parents, community leaders, and adolescents.
•Deliver Psychological First Aid (PFA) during emergencies and guide teams in response.
•Coordinate with case management systems to ensure timely support for children and vulnerable groups.
•Analyze field situations and provide recommendations for immediate actions and program improvements.
•Conduct FGDs, interviews, and prepare timely reports on PSS activities.
•Carry out regular field visits to ensure quality implementation of programme activities.
•Support emergency response systems, including managing helplines and handling urgent responsibilities.
•Ensure all activities comply with BRAC policies and provide psychosocial support to GBV survivors.
Safeguarding:
•Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
•Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
•Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
