Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • B.Sc. in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Speech and Language Therapy / Rehabilitation Science / Psychology or any other relevant qualification from any reputed institution.

  • Age At most 45 years
  • 3 years of professional work experience in relevant sectors; desirably in a managerial or semi managerial role.

  • Experience in the Rohingya Camp context will be added advantage.

  • Proven experience working with National NGOs and/or other international stakeholders.

  • Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;

  • Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills;

  • Strong communication skills, especially through email and online platforms.

  • Proven experience in development/ humanitarian program management, team management and on Disability inclusion in Development or in Humanitarian response.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, guiding, ensuring data-driven and technical SoP guided service delivery across the rehabilitation team, including Physiotherapy, SLT, Protection, MHPSS, Inclusive Sports and Recreation and audio-visual interventions for people with disabilities- through camp-based services, the Rehabilitation Camp approach, home visits, and other community locations.
  • Designing, Conducting, and supervising RO/ MHPSSO/ PO/ ISRO/ PO-SL & other relevant staff for Conducting Awareness raising sessions for camp community people and related.
  • Assisting in accurately referring clients to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, including medical services.
  • Gathering and analyzing the unmet need data to do the advocacy at the related government and nongovernment offices to ensure available mainstream services for people with disabilities.
  • Assisting team members in prescribing the required customized assistive device/ therapy equipment’s/ relevant supplies etc. keeping the available budget in mind.
  • Based on the above responsibilities, take the lead on procurement planning in consultation with the POM, procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery of required items.
  • Leading and facilitating accessibility audits and home adaptations to strengthen accessibility at both institutional and household levels, aligning available internal and external project resources.
  • Provide training and onsite technical support to related organizations on various aspects of Disability Mainstreaming and Inclusion.
  • Ensure client files, service point registers, and information boards are properly maintained, and that all service points are fully functional and comfortable for the people receiving services.
  • Support to produce reports (e.g., case studies, lesson learned reports, client's progress report) on short notice.
  • Monitoring fieldwork with a daily presence to oversee the day-to-day activities and ensure activities are delivered following established plans and standards and to ensure the staff’s regular presence and adherence to the code of conduct.
  • Monitor the security situation in the working area and immediately report to the Project Operations Manager if conditions deteriorate.
  • Identify areas for professional development/ change management required to share with the POM/ Focal at CDD-HQ to enable an action plan to improve professional skills.
  • Engage in self-directed learning to grow skills and competencies.
  • Seek feedback and support as necessary to improve skills and achieve objectives.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by any competent authority.

Job Context:

  • The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities to be more inclusive whilst enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
  • CDD is a prominent organization in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
  • The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
  • CDD is now accepting application for the position of ‘Senior / Team Manager’ for the upcoming project of CDD. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
