Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Disaster Management, Geography, Social Science or relevant subject from any recognised university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Emergency response
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure emergency response in place effectively
∎ Prepare ICS and UDMT to respond to emergency maintaining quality and accountability and ensure donors and BRAC compliance
∎ Work closely with other programmes and ICS and UDMT teams for designing , implementation and monitoring emergency and recovery projects
∎ Support team in contingency plan preparation and other AOP activities implementation.
∎ Maintain and develop strong relationship with field level emergency responses actors within the organization
∎ Facilitate and contribute to capacity building of ICS and UDMT in respect to accelerate the response work to the earliest time within the emergency timeline.
∎ Work with procurement, Finance and HR to facilitate timely delivery of project inputs
∎ Raising awareness of disaster preparedness issues through organize events, developing information and delivering special projects
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

∎ Have sound knowledge on on humanitarian programme cycle
∎ Have skills to communicate with people at all level and a thorough approach and attention to detail
∎ Have logical approach and the ability to be creative in a high-pressure situation with a flexible attitude, with the ability to manage a range of tasks at the same time;
∎ Have capability to work on deadlines and prioritize tasks
∎ Have competencies on analysing
