∎ SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER(OUTREACH SUPERVISOR) NUTRITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL SUPERVISION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OUTREACH NUTRITION COMPONENT ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS OTP/TSFP/BSFP IN THE OFFICIAL CAMP/NEW MAKESHIFT SETTLEMENTS OF UKHIYA/TEKNAF AREAS OF COX’S BAZAR. ADDITIONALLY WILL ENSURE THE ACTIVITIES OF IYCF CORNER FOR MANAGING THE REGULAR COUNSELLING AND IDENTIFICATION OF BREASTFEEDING DIFFICULTIES
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: To ensure the smooth and proper running of different preventive activities of the nutrition program through providing systematic and regular supervision, monitoring and follow up.
∎ Tasks:
∎ Ensure the quality Growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) and referral mechanism in the component for all the children in catchment area and updating U5 children, Adolescent and PLW list.
∎ Ensure the proper implementation of community mobilization and awareness raising session to strengthening community
∎ Ensure the quality screening, detection and promotion activities in the camp/community
∎ Ensure proper distribution and quality monitoring of MNP/Sprinkle consumption for U5 children and adolescents girls in the camp
∎ Ensure NUT-MH integrated home visiting and follow up of vulnerable beneficiaries such as absenteeism, defaulter, non-responder, refusal, relapse at HH level
∎ Ensure 1000 days household mapping is done properly
∎ Ensure action oriented sessions with household power brokers (husbands/fathers and mothers-in-laws) using the steps: observe, think, try and act
∎ Ensure Mother to Mothers supports groups session in the community
∎ Ensure cooking demonstration in the community and centre
∎ Objective-2: IYCF and CMAMI counselling and other IYCF related services for the caregivers of 0-23montsh children in the community
∎ Tasks:
∎ Ensure the regular enrollment of caregivers for 0-23months children in IYCF corner.
∎ Maintain rapid and full assessment of IYCF by the team
∎ Ensure CMAMI program in the community
∎ Observe the mother’s/caregiver’s attachment, position and bonding during the breastfeeding.
∎ Encouragement of breastfeeding and initiate supplementary Suckling technique (SST) for appropriate infants and advised caregiver/ PLWs to attend the health education session at breast feeding corner.
∎ Clinical assessment of breastfeeding difficulties of mothers.
∎ Ensure the need based counselling session and Follow up the change of improvements.
∎ Ensure of the registration of all the beneficiaries (registration book ID number, IYCF card with ID number and other related documents
∎ Objective 3: Quality Control & to manage and control of supplies, usage and stock of food, non-food items and medications in the Centre
∎ Tasks:
∎ Ensure appropriate referral and follow up mechanism is in place for malnourished children screening at Makeshift community
∎ Ensure the implementation and follow up of standard protocols in the outreach nutrition program
∎ Control and follow up of adequate supplies, distribution and consumption of food in the nutrition centre
∎ Medications consumption and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
∎ Preparation of monthly needs order form food and non-food items and submission to the nutritionist.
∎ Ensure adequate hygiene and sanitation within the nutrition centers.
∎ Ensure that health education is carried out daily within the nutrition centre.
∎ Ensure adequate supply of water to the nutrition centre.
∎ Check the appropriate use of nutrition equipment and materials in the nutrition centre and identify the need for reparation or replacement of them if they are out of order.
∎ Objective 4: Capacity building and management of staff, volunteer in the nutrition centre
∎ Tasks:
∎ Formal and on the job training of the nutrition staff, volunteer working in the nutrition centre in consultation with DPM/ PM.
∎ Briefing, orientation of nutrition program activities to other ACF or partners members
∎ Active participation in community mobilization and awareness raising activities among the camp population.
∎ Check, control and ensure the attendance of nutrition staff, volunteers and respecting working hours by all.
∎ Prepare leave plan for staff and organize activities accordingly with staff available
∎ Ensure HR rules and regulations; especially the leave request, working hour, professional communication etc. are well respected by all staffs and communicated with program in timely manner.
∎ Provide always on the job training for the staff of EMOP for enhance their skill and knowledge.
∎ Objective 5: Data compilation, analysis and report
∎ Tasks:
∎ Collection and compilation of the daily, weekly and monthly statistics reports
∎ Collection, compilation and analyzing the stock reports (consumption, stock balance and request new supplies medications, food and nonfood items.
∎ Report any kind of problem to the DPM and Program Manager
∎ Weekly submission of Data base report to Data entry officer of SAM/MAM/PLWs.
∎ Submit the monthly APR narrative report to DPM and statistical report to data entry officer
∎ Submit the monthly statistical report along with APR quantitative and narrative and contextual report to DPM
∎ Objective 6: Coordination and collaborations
∎ Tasks:
∎ Collaboration and coordination with other ACF programs: Mental Health, WASH and Food Security
∎ Supervise the activity of project officer for out- reach program for Makeshift
∎ Ensure a good coordination and working relationship is maintained with the OPD and IP of Health Partners
∎ Attend the monthly coordination meeting with CIC, GoB, UN & INGO, National & Local NGO
∎ Representation of Nutrition program at field level during camp coordination meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and submission to DPM.
∎ Objective (the last): Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees;
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Salary: Tk. 71000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year
