Job Context:
∎ Mission Statement: Under the operational supervision of the Project Manager and the Deputy Project Manager, the Senior Project Officer manages team providing services to communities living in camps and host communities.
∎ Main internal interfaces
∎ Reports to Deputy Project Manager
∎ Project Manager
∎ Linking with other members of the team, particularly Senior Project Officers
∎ Main external interfaces
∎ Service providers working in HI area of intervention
∎ I/NGOs working in HI area of intervention

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervision and management of team
∎ Close management of team (Education officers and rehabilitation Officers), including supervision and capacity building in the field
∎ Ensure proper communication, coordination, and information sharing, providing the link between team and the Deputy Project manager
∎ Identify weaknesses, challenges, and strengths of the team and provide concrete solutions and capacity building to address these issues
∎ Organize the daily, weekly, and monthly planning and objectives of his/her team
∎ Under the responsibility and upon delegation of the Deputy Project Manager, ensure team is coordinating with partner humanitarian organizations and volunteers in a harmonized professional manner
∎ Identify opportunities for possible internal and external coordination and notify Deputy Project Manager
∎ Ensure the proper orientation and follow up to the team and the volunteers on protection issues in direct link with the technical unit, how to engage with beneficiaries, especially with children, adolescent and women, in line with HI and donor PSEA, child protection and other relevant policies.
∎ Ensure the quality and timely implementation of project services and follow the referral pathways in emergency situation, in collaboration and coordination with supervisor
∎ Ensure the HI quality standards
∎ Ensure the gathering and consolidation the mapping of services at zone/area level share with the Deputy Project Manager
∎ Ensure that team members are strictly maintaining confidentiality of their beneficiaries and following all HI protocols.
∎ Monitoring, Reporting and Archiving of data
∎ Ensure team is collecting data properly in the field
∎ Prepare periodic report of his/her team
∎ Ensure that the team is strictly following internal and external referral pathway, and record the referrals accordingly
∎ Participate in monitoring, reporting, and evaluating, as requested by the line manager
∎ Ensure the archiving of all documentation and relevant materials on the base following the procedures established by HI
∎ Participate to the internal and external coordination and external humanitarian representation under the strict delegation of the Project Manager/ Deputy Project Manager
∎ Safety and security
∎ Is the security focal point of his/her team and timely report security related information to his/her security focal point in priority, letting also the line Manager know about security
∎ Provide regular security and context updates to line manager
∎ Ensure that safety and security procedures are understood by the team and implemented in the field.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 year of proven team management experience
∎ At least 4 years work experience
∎ Previous NGO experience
∎ Excellent facilitation skills (facilitation of training, awareness session, communication with the community)
∎ Previous INGO experience
∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla);
∎ Able to work in harsh conditions
∎ Good Analyzing Skill
∎ Strong team work approach
∎ Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla and English
∎ Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh
∎ Sensitized on issue related child protection, protection of gender based violence etc.
∎ Experienced in Humanitarian Context, preferably in the field of Emergency
∎ Experience working in multidisciplinary context
∎ Knowledge of Chittagonian / Rohingya language is a strong asset

Salary:

Presently HI Bangladesh is implementing projects on integrating disability in community based disaster risk reduction and response; economic empowerment of extreme poor persons with disabilities; mainstreaming disability in livelihood interventions; support to refugees and surrounding communities;, capacity building of professional associations; and support to Disabled People`s Organizations; among others.”
