Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage implementation and monitoring of market linkage related activities of WFP's livelihood programme in selected areas of Cox's Bazar. This includes updating key project documents, supporting the partner to follow an agreed work plan, and periodic reports (as required).
∎ Contribute to the analysis of local markets and value chains; analyze existing market price comparison tools that exist in the local market and recommend to management what digital applications could be used to support farmers groups.
∎ Work with cooperating partners to build their capacity, and map that capacity for production. Ensure timely implementation of program activities and fulfillment of respective agreements (including compliance with documentation and reporting requirements).
∎ Ensure documentation of successful case studies and provide detailed examples of the effectiveness of behavioral and communication change activities. Adapt programming innovatively to achieve intended change.
∎ Ensure disability inclusion and gender considerations during the project implementation.
∎ Manage, supervise and provide support to Programme Assistants based in the field, and build their capacity.
∎ Undertake regular field visits to follow-up on the implementation of programme activities and quality monitoring.
∎ Facilitate compilation of monitoring reports and work plans (including third parties) as per schedule, for submission and feedback from supervisor and/or M&E focal point.
∎ Work with stakeholders operating in the same space (geographical and thematic) to ensure the programme contributes to the national agenda on Rohingya value chains and low-income marketing.
∎ Support with the WFP database management and operations as necessary.
∎ Work closely with the Country Office and other programme teams to ensure monthly resource release, disbursement, cash pipeline to ensure smooth distribution, and respond to complaints and other finance/administrative related issues
∎ To improve efficiency regularly, report to supervisor on bottlenecks, new innovative ideas and other ways for improving programme performance
∎ Other market linkages and livelihoods support as needed, notably through assessing the impacts of WFP's programmes on local and regional markets.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 years of experience, and 4 years in livelihoods programming specifically

∎ Experience in market linkages/ value chain creation/ income generating activities work
∎ Experience doing research, conducting analyses, monitoring and evaluation of programmes
∎ Experience organizing and delivering training sessions
∎ Experience working in international organizations
∎ Willingness and ability to work in difficult environments, under stressful and time-critical circumstances
∎ Demonstrated openness in sharing information and keeping people informed
∎ Cultural and Gender awareness and sensitivity
∎ Language: Fluency in English & Bengali (both oral and written) is required
