∎ General Functions:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager for Shelter/NFI Programme and the direct supervision of the Shelter/NFI Officer, the successful candidate will assist the implementation of the Shelter/NFI programme, including but not limited to monitoring various shelter interventions in Rohingya refugee camps and host communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Asist in the implementation of Shelter/NFI construction activities including field assessments, technical drawings, bill of quantities preparation, procurement support, stock management of materials and tools/equipment, construction works monitoring and reporting, in coordination with the Shelter/NFI Officer (Technical) and Shelter/NFI Programme Manager.
∎ 2. Undertake regular field visits to project intervention areas and prepare subsequent monitoring and progress reports, providing accurate data analysis and related updates, and share with Shelter/NFI Officer (Technical) and Shelter/NFI Programme Manager without delay.
∎ 3. Directly supervise Field Assistants of their daily tasks for the implementation of Shelter/NFI Programme in coordination with Shelter/NFI Officer (Technical)
∎ 4. Provide capacity building and backstopping support to relevant colleagues in the implementation and management of construction activities within Shelter/NFI Programme
∎ 5. Ensure that project records are maintained adequately, such as field assessments data, stock records, training and labour attendance sheets, progress reports and coordinate the compilation of documents required for project implementation
∎ 6. Represent IOM Shelter/NFI Programme in relevant field coordination meetings and maintain programmatic relationship with refugee and community representatives, NGO partners, government authorities and other relevant actors at field level. Take minutes of the meeting and keep track of those action points for follow up and reporting purposes
∎ 7. Ensure an adequate internal coordination with the different IOM Units (Site Management, Site Development, WASH, Infrastructure, etc.) for the implementation of IOM Shelter/NFI Programme
∎ 8. In coordination with IOM procurement Unit, Supply Chain and Warehouse Logistics Officers, track and coordinate the deliveries at field level of materials and tools/equipment related to the construction activities of the Shelter/NFI Programme
∎ 9. Promote and facilitate the integration of cross-cutting issues such as environment, gender, children, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and other vulnerable group in the implementation of project
∎ 10. Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least four years of relevant professional experience in projects for the implementation of building design, managing small to medium scale construction and community-based projects and working in camps and host communities
∎ Experience with common design and engineering-related software of AutoCAD is required.
∎ Experience with Photoshop, 3D Max, Sketch-up is an advantage.
∎ Experience with International Organizations and/or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is an advantage
∎ Experience in shelter projects, designing and constructing relevant facilities in refugee camps is an advantage
∎ Strong coordination, negotiation, mobilizing and facilitation skills
∎ Proficient in computer applications
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
∎ Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali is required, Chittagong local dialect is desirable.
