The Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and data-driven Senior Operations Manager to build, launch, and scale our entire on-demand delivery fleet from the ground up.
This is a critical leadership role. You will be the architect of our logistics network, responsible for the performance of our 'On-Demand Cluster' (Food, Grocery, Pharmacy, and Parcel). Your primary mission is to create the most reliable, efficient, and rapidly expanding freelance driver network in Bangladesh, starting with Dhaka and then executing a city-by-city expansion plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Development (Build): Develop and implement the complete operational playbook for driver (bike/cycle) acquisition, background verification, onboarding, and training.
Dhaka Launch (Launch): Lead the operational launch in Dhaka, establishing zones, recruiting hub teams, and ensuring high driver availability and density from Day 1.
Daily Operations (Manage): Manage all day-to-day delivery operations. Obsessively monitor and improve key metrics (KPIs) such as average delivery time, order acceptance rate, driver utilization, and cost-per-delivery.
Incentive & Performance: Design and manage driver incentive structures, payout systems, and performance management to ensure a motivated and high-performing fleet.
Expansion Strategy (Scale): Create the blueprint for launching new cities, identifying new zones, and scaling the driver fleet "city by city" efficiently.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing operations team (e.g., city managers, fleet supervisors, support staff).
Problem Solving: Act as the primary owner for all logistics-related challenges, including peak-hour management, rider complaints, and operational bottlenecks.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of proven, hands-on experience in operations management within Bangladesh.
Industry (Mandatory): Direct experience in the food delivery, ride-sharing, or on-demand logistics sector is non-negotiable.
Proven Track Record: You MUST have direct experience building and managing a large-scale freelance driver/rider fleet.
Local Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of Dhaka's logistical challenges (e.g., zoning, traffic patterns, peak hours, rider behavior).
Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills. You must be comfortable using dashboards, data, and KPIs to make decisions and optimize performance.
Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading an operations team.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
