The Role:
We are seeking two dynamic, results-driven, and highly motivated Merchant Acquisition Executives to build and expand our network of sellers. You will be the face of Choyon to potential partners, responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding a wide variety of merchants – from local shops to established brands and companies – onto our platform. This is a critical role where your success directly impacts Choyon's product variety and overall customer appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify & Prospect: Actively research and identify potential merchants (retail shops, brands, distributors, manufacturers) across various categories (fashion, electronics, groceries, household, etc.) who align with Choyon's vision.
Field Visits & Pitching: Schedule and conduct in-person visits to prospective merchants across Dhaka. Present Choyon’s value proposition clearly and persuasively, explaining the benefits of selling on our platform (increased reach, customer base, easy setup, marketing support, etc.).
Negotiation & Closing: Understand merchant needs and negotiate partnership terms, commission structures, and service level agreements within company guidelines. Secure signed agreements.
Onboarding & Training: Guide new merchants through the entire onboarding process, including account setup, product listing procedures, inventory management, and order fulfillment basics on the Choyon seller portal. Ensure they are comfortable using the platform.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with onboarded merchants, acting as their initial point of contact for platform-related queries.
Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed weekly/monthly targets for merchant acquisition and successful onboarding.
Market Intelligence: Gather feedback from merchants regarding the platform, competitor activities, and market trends. Report insights to the management team.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, merchant interactions, and progress using CRM tools or provided reporting formats.
Who We Are Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in field sales, business development, or merchant acquisition. Experience in E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, or B2B sales sectors is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in Bangla are mandatory. Proficiency in English is a plus.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities with a knack for closing deals.
Target Driven: Highly motivated, self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable using smartphones, apps, computers, and CRM software. Ability to quickly learn and explain our seller platform.
Local Market Knowledge: Good understanding of the retail landscape in Dhaka.
Mobility: Must own a motorcycle with a valid driving license and be willing to travel extensively within the designated territory daily.
Attitude: Energetic, persistent, adaptable, and passionate about e-commerce and contributing to a startup's success.
