2 years of experience in health communication, preferably in SBCC or NCD-related projects.
Understanding of SBCC principles, frameworks, and health communication strategies.
Knowledge of NCDs, risk factors, and behavioral prevention approaches.
Familiarity with community engagement methods and participatory communication.Capacity to design engaging IEC/BCC materials and tools.

BRAC Health Programme is launching an ambitious and innovative initiative—the 360-Degree NCD Care Initiative—to combat the rising burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in Bangladesh, with a primary focus on hypertension and type-2 diabetes. In collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh and Medtronic LABS, this initiative aims to strengthen the prevention, early detection, and management of NCDs through a comprehensive, community-based approach. Leveraging BRAC’s extensive community health worker network, digital health technologies, and improved healthcare infrastructure, the initiative is designed to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to more resilient public health systems. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement SBCC strategies and tools tailored to community needs for NCD prevention and control.
Coordinate with BRAC’s Health Educators, Programme Organisers, and Shasthya Kormi to ensure consistent messaging and materials.Conduct formative assessments to identify behavior change barriers and enablers in the local context.
Lead the development of culturally appropriate IEC and BCC materials on NCD risk factors and healthy behaviors.
Organize and facilitate community campaigns, dialogues, and health events to raise awareness.
Build the SBCC capacity of field teams through training and on-site mentoring.
Monitor and evaluate SBCC interventions and document success stories, lessons learned, and community feedback.
Collaborate with government and partner organizations to align messaging and ensure outreach consistency.
Ensure all messages are aligned with national NCD guidelines and public health communication standards.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
