  • Experience Requirement: Minimum 3 years working experience with NGOs or international development organizations. Field experience in working with municipalities, city corporations and private sector if preferable.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of M&E concepts and tools.

  • Knowledge of programme/project cycle management and development.

  • Proven expertise in data management systems such as Salesforce, TaroWorks, and KoboToolbox.

  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

  • Problem-solving mindset

About the Project:

The BRAC Urban Development Programme has initiated a project titled “Strengthening Urban Resilience Services for Vulnerable Communities in Seven Climate-Affected Cities.” The project aims to ensure that climate-vulnerable communities, particularly women and other intersectional groups gain improved access to resilient infrastructure and develop the capacity to ensure proper operation and maintenance (O&M). This initiative seeks to reduce their exposure and vulnerability to climate-related hazards such as flooding, heatwaves, and waterlogging. The project will start from June 01, 2026. The duration of this project will be for one year.

Job Purpose: To ensure that projects and programs are systematically monitored, evaluated, and documented to enhance accountability, efficiency, and learning.

Job Location : Anywhere in Bangladesh (UDP field office)

Job Description:

• Conduct monitoring of programme processes, results and immediate outcomes in the target towns and cities.

• Identify monitoring issues, set up indicators, and develop questionnaires and other tools for data collection.

• Conduct surveys, stakeholder consultations, in-depth interviews, key informant interviews, FGDs and other tools for collecting qualitative and quantitative data.

• Disseminate monitoring findings with respective staff and other relevant stakeholders.

• Regularly data download rechecks and puts feedback from website.

• Ensure quality of implementing activities and find out gap between target verses achievement.

• Different types of report preparation and dissemination (both quantitative and qualitative).

• Identify and document case studies on significant success or failure as well as on programmatic learning and good practices.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
