Job Context:
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Conduct investigation of different programs complying with BRAC HRPP & SHE policy, Sexual Harassment Complaints Investigation Guidelines, Internal investigation Guidelines and procedures for producing qualitative reports to maintain BRAC values for achieving organizational objectives.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Study the assigned complaint letter thoroughly and prepare investigation plan (According to When, Where & How) and develop checklist, questionnaire to investigate against allegation from respective programs.
∎ Prepare a probable list of interviewee's like- complainant, alleged accused person(s), direct & indirect witnesses, beneficiaries.
∎ Confirm notice to the alleged accused person(s) through registered letters with acknowledgement by post or e-mail before 07 days of starting investigation.
∎ Prepare letter to the concern person related to complaint (Need basis/ as per requirement) and Communicate with respective management staff for getting necessary logistics and program support during field visit.
∎ Prepare a questionnaire for each interviewee before and during investigation (need basis), Visit place of occurrence.
∎ Rapport building with complain related concern person.
∎ Take interview of the related person with maintain high confidentiality and keep written record with dates and signature.
∎ Fact analysis & cross checking & corroborate all collected documents/evidences and statements for justifying the complaints at the end of each investigation during information/data collection from field.
∎ Submit final report to head of SHRC along with the comments of Manager, SHR-investigation, SHR-Investigation Unit, SHRC within the stipulated time.
∎ Attend SHRC monthly forum and actively present facts in light of report.
∎ Play a significant role at the office of Ombudsperson during hearing related to any investigation.
∎ Attained at unit meeting and perform duties as per demand and direction of concern authority and uphold BRAC values.
∎ Identify potential investigative barriers and play significant role to effective solutions.
∎ Lead or participate as a team member on complex investigations from inception to completion, ensuring investigation is completed thoroughly and on time.
∎ Write and assist in the preparation of high profile special investigation reports including findings, analysis.
∎ Able to conduct the investigation independently by maintaining confidentiality
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good Verbal and written communication Skills both in Bengali and English, Computer literacy in MS office and internet.
∎ Overall Fact-finding process, National and international laws and policies of redress sexual harassment.
∎ Interpersonal communication Skill, Gender sensitivity, Team building capacity, empathetic and able to work under pressure, Understand and concern on diversity and inclusiveness etc.
∎ Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field will be given preference.
