Additional Requirements:

CCCM course undertaken and was a CCCM trainer under Site Management – Humanitarian Crisis Management Program.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of emergency context, Site Management, Camp Management, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding.

  • Knowledge of budget preparation and administration.

  • Knowledge on people management, multiculturalism, Ethics and Supervision.

Skills:

  • Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel, Access), GIS, PowerBi, Mobile Data Collection Platforms

  • Have basic skills in graphics designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Ability to perform advance data analysis process and data visualization.

  • Ability to prepare analytical reports, presentations, case studies and showcase project activities through producing pictorial communication materials.

Responsibilities & Context:

The role of the Information Management Officer (IMO) in Site Management Support (SMS) will involve ensuring data-driven decision-making through high-quality reporting, service mapping, and maintaining updated camp profiles. The post holder will manage user-friendly databases, collect and validate data, and provide timely updates to camp unit to support informed decision-making. The role will include supporting project monitoring and evaluation, analyzing outcomes, and addressing emerging gaps such as water scarcity. By facilitating communication between service providers and the community, coordinating with stakeholders, and participating in strategic forums, the IMO will enhance collaboration and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role will contribute to disaster preparedness and community resilience initiatives, ensuring robust emergency response planning and execution.

● S/he will be the key resource person for documentation and maintaining up-to-date information in camp context.

● Produce high quality daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports both for BRAC’s internal reporting using BRAC’s reporting processes and formats and for external reporting using formats provided by UNHCR.

● Develop, maintain, and update service mapping, camp profiles, and conduct rapid assessments as required.

● Participate in coordination meetings and any other meetings, take notes, and produce high quality meeting minutes review and dissemination by Camp Managers & IMS.

● Design and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system with indicators, tools, and methods for data collection and analysis.

● Track and evaluate project progress using tools such as the Service Monitoring, Camp Monitoring Tool, Facility Mapping, MHIRT, VMT & any other technical platforms or information management products introduced by BRAC & UNHCR

● Lead data validation processes for volunteer numbers, cash for work information, CLI schemes, DMI and other relevant areas.

● Manage & update user-friendly MIS, RF and Activity Info databases to enhance data accessibility and accuracy.

● Lead data collection processes, including surveys, needs assessments, service gap analyses, and other relevant exercises.

● Develop and maintain an efficient information management system, addressing gaps in data collection, entry, storage, and analysis.

● Conduct block visits, participate in community discussions, and contribute to service monitoring and reporting processes.

● Guide & train volunteers for data collection on VMT, service mapping and any other volunteer management initiatives.

● Engage with government officials, partners, and UN agencies to share knowledge and improve collaboration.

● Facilitate effective communication between camp managers, service providers, and the community to ensure efficient stakeholder communication and enhance service delivery and avoid duplication in humanitarian service provision.

● Contribute to the development of knowledge management products, including case stories, guidance materials, and data analyses to ensure best practices and lessons learned are captured and shared for donor and stakeholder use.

● Actively participate in coordination meetings, thematic group meetings, and strategic forums to contribute ideas for operational and programming strategies.

● Undertake any other necessary duties as assigned by the supervisors

● Assist Information Management Specialist in monitoring, and reconciliation.

Stakeholders’ coordination, networking, advocacy:

● Represent BRAC in coordination and networking platforms/groups within Sectors, Camp level and beyond.

● Training and capacity building for the team.

● Contribute to overall advocacy strategies.

Safety & Safeguarding:

● Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

● Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

● Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
