COMPETENCIES: Facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Support to the development and updating of contingency plans, hazard maps, and community-based DRR action plans.

  • Taking initiative to implement project activities such as emergency preparedness and response, related to capacity building

  • Support programme to conduct needs-based research to identify areas of intervention, scale up, and Innovation.

  • Supported in the preparation of capacity-building training modules/guidelines and facilitated and coordinated training sessions, simulation exercises, and capacity-building workshops for community volunteers, DRR committees, and local institutions.

  • Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and training outcomes.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining basic project information, reporting schedule and government approval Process in coordination with the Support Unit.

  • Prepare progress reports, project completion reports, etc., for projects and components of HCMP independently as well as jointly, as per the reporting schedules and templates.

  • Respond to identified fundraising opportunities through team formation, work plan development, and monitoring of progress through periodic formal progress review.

  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

  • Ensure compliance as per the requirements of the funding organisations, prescribed sector Standards.

  • Organize Training on Humanitarian Principles and Standards in a collaboration with Humanitarian Leadership Academy-Bangladesh (Like SPHERE, CHS, AAP.

  • Operate HCMP Emergency Control Room and Disseminating weather update & early warning messages to all staffs of HCMP for better preparedness during any Natural Emergency Period.

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
