Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Nutrition Advisor will be responsible for providing direction to the ongoing emergency nutrition response through technical leadership and quality control for positive change in the lives of Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals.
∎ Take lead in designing quality proposals for nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific projects in line with Concern's global, country and emergency response strategic priorities.
∎ Provide technical direction for nutrition sensitivity in Concern's strategy for Cox's Bazar, and incorporation of conflict sensitivity
∎ Ensure technical compliance with donor approved documents and requirements within Concern's emergency nutrition program portfolio, across all nutrition related projects.
∎ Provide overall leadership, strategic guidance and technical advice to the emergency nutrition program, with gender mainstreaming, accountability and inclusion components
∎ Develop M&E plans and framework for each nutrition related project according to project proposals and donor agreements and guide MEAL team to implement it
∎ Analyse new project staffing needs and develop required staffing structures and staffing capacities and qualifications required to deliver new projects to the quality indicated in approved proposals.
∎ Develop job descriptions and terms of reference for temporary, short term or regular term project staff, and provide technical support to HR during the recruitment process
∎ Ensure that the necessary resources are available for nutrition related projects and utilized in a way that meet the needs of project beneficiaries in most cost effective manner possible
∎ Provide technical guidance in the development of IEC materials, tools and job aides for CMAM and IYCF and other initatives within the Nutrition sector mandate.
∎ As a member of Extended Management Team, guide implementation of agreed management decisions within the Nutrition team, and support the initiatives of the Security Focal Groups at Cox's Bazar and Dhaka level.
∎ Provide technical guidance in the development of IEC materials, tools and job aides for CMAM and IYCF and other initatives within the Nutrition sector mandate
∎ Ensure Nutrition team compliance with Concern's policies, and Core Humanitarians Standards of Accountability to ensure protection of programme staff and beneficiaries.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of progressive technical management experience of CMAM. Experience in managing IYCF, community nutrition and SBCC approaches
∎ Experience in emergency settings, especially in refugee camp context
∎ Experience in managing donor and local government relations.
∎ Relationship building and team leadership and capacity building, planning and organizing and ability to work under pressure.
∎ Information technology and good communication skills.
∎ Proactive in problem solving and decision making, Financial management
∎ Demonstrated monitoring and evaluation skills
∎ Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff in Nutrition technical skills.
∎ Excellent report writing skills, proposal development skills
∎ Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good understanding of electronic data collection
