∎ The United States of America Agency for International Development (USAID) is expected to release a call for proposals for an Inclusive Education project (Shobai Miley Pori: "Everyone Reads Together"). The anticipated aim of the project is to improve early grade reading outcomes in Bangla for children with disabilities in Government Primary Schools in Bangladesh.
∎ HI is seeking a qualified Senior MEAL Manager, responsible of ensuring the quality of the consortium`s work by implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes throughout the project, if the consortium is successful, the proposal accepted and granted with the award.
∎ The project is anticipated to start in September 2021 and will have a 36 months duration; the anticipated overall budget falls between USD 10.000.000 -25.000.000
∎ Job Location: The position is based in Dhaka with regular field visits
∎ Line Manager: Consortium Chief of Party
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: September 2021 and will have a 36 months duration with the possibility of an extension
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct line management of the Consortium Chief of Party, the Senior MEAL Manager is part of the consortium management team.
∎ You will lead in ensuring the quality of HI's work by implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes throughout the project cycle. He/she will guarantee that these processes are undertaken in a way that is consistent with global HI standards and policies and other relevant international standards on quality program delivery.
∎ You will provide overall direction to the management of a robust, sustainable, and effective MEAL system across all sectors of intervention. Analysis of these changes will be shared extensively with all HI staff, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate action. He/she will have to create and maintain an environment that contributes to preventing sexual exploitation and abuse and promotes gender equity and social inclusion.
∎ In this framework, your main responsibilities will be:
∎ System Design and Set-up and support its implementation
∎ MEAL Team Management
∎ Data Provision, Management, and Reporting
∎ Institutional Learning and Knowledge Building
∎ Contributes to ensuring GESI throughout the project cycle
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 21 years
∎ Minimum of 05 years of relevant experience in a MEAL Senior Management position in a project of similar magnitude and complexity; preferably with USAID supported programs/projects; preferably with Inclusive education projects
∎ Proven experience in designing and operating tools using online data collection software's i.e. ODK, Kobo Collect, and Survey CTO
∎ Proven track record of developing and implementing project MEAL management and quality control tools, including content editing, to ensure quality deliverables from a team across areas, including with local staff and organizations.
∎ You are fluent in English; knowledge of Bengali/Bangla would be an asset
∎ Report writing skills
∎ Expertise in pack Office and online data collection software required
∎ Ability to coordinate and collaborate with others for creative solutions, and complementarities to maximize results
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply
