Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work closely with UPG programme’s M&E, operations, and advocacy teams to identify research and evaluation needs. Develop and implement research studies and evaluation objectives as per annual work plan which can be translated into action plans.
∎ Lead the conduction of the research studies (Both qualitative and quantitative in nature) for the programme. This task involves research design; hiring of consultants and/or enumerators (as required) ; managing data collection, data analysis, and report preparation.
∎ Commission learning exercises, research and evaluation works to third parties as required, and to manage this relationship with such organisations or academic departments to ensure that the work meets a set of pre-agreed objectives.
∎ Provide technical assistance to research design and evaluation to other UPG programmes implemented by BRAC international.
∎ Lead the production of competitive proposals for external research and evaluation projects.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

∎ Job Purpose
∎ The Senior Manager Research & Evaluation will be responsible for supporting a range of programmatic and organisational learning and development efforts through advancing the programme’s and organisation’s own learning, research, and evaluation to support M&E, operations, and advocacy.
∎ Key Responsibilities
