Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise and optimize the dyeing process for knit fabrics, ensuring high efficiency and minimal wastage.
∎ Maintain stringent quality standards, monitor fabric appearance, color consistency, and fastness properties.
∎ Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
∎ Troubleshoot dyeing defects and implement corrective actions to improve overall process stability.
∎ Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations, including waste management and chemical handling protocols.
∎ Lead and mentor a team of dyeing technicians and supervisors to enhance their technical and managerial skills.
∎ Control dyeing costs by optimizing chemical and utility consumption without compromising quality.
∎ Coordinate with the merchandising and production teams to meet client specifications and delivery timelines.
∎ Drive Eco-friendly dyeing practices and explore new technologies to reduce water and energy consumption.
∎ Strong leadership and team management skills to drive operational excellence.
∎ Hands-on experience in resolving dyeing and fabric finishing-related issues.
∎ Awareness of global textile trends, sustainable dyeing technologies, and compliance standards.
∎ Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
∎ Familiarity with international textile quality standards (Oeko-Tex, GOTS, ZDHC, etc.).
∎ Exposure to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
