Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall CAD & Pattern Department of the group.
∎ To ensure pattern making and marker making by Gerber Software as per buyer requirements.
∎ Ensure bulk correction, bulk marker, bulk cut plan & measurement.
∎ Establish & maintain operational guidelines, procedure & practice.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by achieving optimum efficiency of CAD and making hundred percent accurate markers and provide to cutting department & follow up it in practical.
∎ Create a master pattern for each size which within a range of garment sizes, using measurement charts, drafting instruments, CAD computers, and/or grading devise.
∎ Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material and mark fabric accordingly.
∎ Mark samples and finished patterns with information such as garment size, section, style, identification, and sewing instruction.
∎ Communicate and Coordinate with the associates (Sample making, Cutting, merchandisers, technicians, seniors) and suppliers to reach the best consumption with quality and efficiency.
∎ Support and advise the team/factories to find the best solution to reduce fabric wastage and to achieve maximum fabric use.
∎ Digitizing the patterns (given by the pattern maker), carrying out alterations, adjustments and grading as per instructions, and preparing a mini-marker for the calculation of the material consumption for costing purposes.
∎ Arrange style wise pattern and pattern grading to ensure zero error in samples & bulk production.
∎ Communicate with merchandisers for booking fabric at initial stage. Also need to ensure to provide correct marker to the factory based on initial booking. Responsible for ensuring correct samples at once.
∎ Any other task assign by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Must have Knowledge of fabrics consumption, pattern grading, CAD marker, fabrics construction, fabrics quality, tests & washes, seam strength & shrinkage performance etc.
∎ Should have good knowledge of Denim garment manufacturing process and risk assessment of the product.
∎ Must have knowledge in Gerber Soft wear.
