∎ The Role:
∎ Oxfam GB is looking for a dynamic person to work with others to support Finance Manager in financial control, budget monitoring, strengthen financial system, VAT / Tax Calculation, and work with logistics and office admin staff to ensure that vulnerable and fixed assets are treated in adherence to Finance`s minimum standards
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to the Finance Manager with the financial management of the programme.
∎ Overall responsibility for the implementation of financial systems and control. This includes training and briefings for all staff on procedures and ensuring that financial systems are adhered to by all levels of personnel and comply with the International Division Finance and Bangladesh Finance Procedures.
∎ Oversee finance operations mainly in Cox's Bazar and general over view for other field offices, this includes: payment processes; maintenance of cash and bank books; submission of necessary accounting returns to Country Office (Dhaka); production of timely financial reporting information; verify cheque payment vouchers.
∎ Ensure all transactions is properly coded and described before uploading to Peoplesoft.
∎ Manage the security of cash, namely cash forecasting, transfer, transportation and storage. This includes preparing cash forecast and submitting requests for top-ups.
∎ Assist with the transactional and reporting aspects of the financial management systems of the program.
∎ Work with logistics and office admin staff to ensure that vulnerable and fixed assets are treated in adherence to Finance's minimum standards.
∎ Overall responsible for partner financial system and control. This includes conducting partner financial assessment and building capacity of partners to comply with Oxfam GB's standard. Also, to build the capacity of programme staff to be able to perform regular financial monitoring.
∎ Communicate with local external contacts, such as the bank and suppliers.
∎ Assist to the programme during internal/external audit review.
∎ Perform other tasks required related to the programme needs with approval from Finance Manager.
∎ Other:
∎ Required to adhere to Oxfam's principles and values as well as the promotion of gender justice and women's rights

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential:
∎ Minimum 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience in similar job level, preferably in INGOs.
∎ Experience in grants, contract and multi donor funded budget management
∎ Manages resources and deadlines with minimum supervision.

∎ Proven experience working in a similar role or any other finance related tasks as assigned by line manager.
∎ Proven knowledge of computerised systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets
∎ Strong organisational skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations and produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
∎ Ability to work and communicate effectively with colleagues/partners/beneficiaries to ensure compliance with Oxfam GB policies and procedures.
∎ Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and numerous, conflicting job requirements.
∎ Have passion for gender equality and women rights
∎ Desirable:
