Additional Requirements:
  • Skills: Strong communication, Negotiation, and Relationship-building skills. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant sales/procurement software, project management,
  • Passion: A genuine interest in agriculture and a drive to help farmers succeed.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in agriculture machinery sales or procurement.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related field is preferred.


Responsibilities & Context:

Market Development:

  • Drive sales of agricultural machinery among farmers, iFarmer Experience Centers & iFarmer Centers.

  • Master product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.

  • Develop sustainable business model for iFarmer’s Agri Machinery “Experience Centers”

  • Develop and manage agri-machinery process and portfolio in iFarmer’s online platform.

  • Conduct engaging field demonstrations to showcase iFarmer’s agri-machinery portfolio among farmers and retailers.

  • Assist and enable the sales team in achieving key targets.

Supplier Network Development:

  • Identify and source high-quality agricultural machinery and equipment from reliable suppliers.

  • Negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with the sales team to ensure adequate stock levels meet customer demand.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Ensure maximum reach for i-farmer machine and mechanization services

  • Achieve/exceed annual sales targets for Agri Machinery products.

  • Increase year-on-year revenue growth.

  • Drive sales of high-margin products.

  • Expand market share and penetrate new customer segments.

  • Expand “Experience Center” presence in key market locations.

Procurement & Supply Chain:

  • Using market reports to develop procurement strategies and annual plans.

  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with agri machinery suppliers.

  • Competitor analysis and identification of potential opportunities for products to be procured.

  • Proactively adopting SKU lineups to fit the market changes and competitor activities

  • Helping operations team to improve inventory turnover ratio and reduction in carrying costs.

  • Expand the network of qualified agri machinery suppliers added to the network.

Project management:

  • Develop and manage projects with potential partners to grow iFarmer’s agri-machineries footprint amongst farmers, i-farmer and experience centers and other market actors.
