Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure overall calibration of all equipment & also glassware calibration of the laboratory.
∎ Preparing annual and intermediate calibration plan of working equipment and reference instruments.
∎ Ensure all equipment and glassware calibration of the laboratory as per yearly plan and master list.
∎ Once the calibration is completed, then analysis and review calibration results (measurement data, error, correction, systematic error, random error, acceptance limit, measurement uncertainty) to make statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations.
∎ Make sure that all the documents are stored as (hard copy in file/soft copy in PC) safely for purposes of future reference.
∎ Decide whether there will be any need for external calibration for working equipment as well as reference equipment on time as per client special requirement or as per standard.
∎ Work to resolve any problems that may arise within the schedule of the calibration in order to ensure that the calibration goes well.
∎ Liaise with maintenance engineer when calibration measurement fails to see to it that the results obtained are in line with the acceptance limit.
∎ Communicate with external calibration lab for calibration equipment as per the scheduled plan by reviewing the plan monthly.
∎ When receive the calibration certificate then review the technical check point for each & every certificate, if any deviation found then communicate & correct it. After then stored as hard copy in file each & every calibration certificate.
∎ Create, maintain, and execute calibration procedures (CP's), calibration worksheet, operating instruction (OI) document to comply with client special requirement, test standard, equipment manual or as per standard for newly installed equipment.
∎ Perform some critical equipment calibration i.e. Weather O-meter irradiance weekly basis.
∎ Documents affecting quality, such as (instructions, standards, procedures, worksheets, checklists, reference data etc.) are reviewed as on time.
∎ Ensure use of PPE (personal protective equipment) at the time of calibration work.
∎ Development, modification, verification and validation of calibration methods.
∎ Coordinate interlaboratory comparison and interlaboratory comparison of measurement program.
∎ Participate in audits on internal-external bodies and represent exterior laboratory's calibration activities.
∎ To take corrective actions as outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for any NC/Recommendation raised for internal & external auditor.
∎ Work with technical management and establish goals to expand internal calibration capabilities and establish scope approval for such capabilities under ISO/IEC 17025:2017·
∎ Analysis and review the calibration laboratory activities & propose whether there any new equipment is required for calibration & then place indent.
∎ Managing client queries and communication as must convey information clearly to clients. Should be able to explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand for non-technical individuals.
∎ Commitment to advance knowledge in the field of instrument calibration methods and providing excellent customer service.
