Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Science, Social Work, Sociology, or any other relevant discipline.
At least 1 to 3 years of experience in counseling and training facilitation, orientation at the community level of Bangladesh.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bangla.
Good reporting writing and demonstration skill
Knowledgeable on training facilitation and management.
BRAC Migration Programme is working towards the goal of reducing exploitation in all forms of migration and supporting migrants and returnees so that they can contribute to the development of the country and abroad. With the objectives to ensure safe, orderly, skilled, and responsible migration both internally and internationally, to reduce all forms of trafficking-in-persons and smuggling of migrants and to provide Immediate Assistance and to ensure the well-being of returnees, trafficking survivors, and their family members through sustainable reintegration, BRAC Migration Programme has been working on migration issues to enhance the conditions of the large workforce through supporting them in several stages of migration over the last 18 years.
Job Purpose
The individual will be responsible for providing counseling services to migrants and their family members at the grassroots level at the reintegration service center. They will also refer migrants for advanced counseling as needed. Additionally, the person will provide counseling to potential migrants who visit the MRSC and maintain an electronic database of returnee migrant workers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a counseling plan for the Migration and Reintegration Support Centre as per the monthly target
Facilitate training for the volunteers as per plan.
Prepare monthly and quarterly training and counseling reports for the Migration and Reintegration Support Centre (district-level office)
Develop a compilation report of all Migration and Reintegration Support Centre
Provide counseling to the returnee migrant workers and their family members
Refer migrant workers for trauma counseling
Emergency duty at the airport to receive vulnerable returnees to provide them need need-based emergency support, including counseling.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
