∎ 5 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop the samples with good understanding of design and technical interpretation for its concept and the customer requirement
∎ Assess the risk involved in the particular sample from the development stage and communicate and make changes where required
∎ Brief the style details embellishment plants technically and liaise with pattern maker, merchandiser and sample room for pattern development and sample making process respectively
∎ Ensure the sample is done with production feasible and cost-effective methods
∎ Inspect /fit the sample against the details and make sure the sample is attention to detail and fulfil all fit & execution meet the requirements of the buyer to ensure to achieve more than 95% customer approval rate.
∎ Communicate with buyers where necessary to perform the role of sample technician at best
∎ Execute pattern correction without external help
∎ Understand customer comments and guide factories to correct all comments without external help
∎ Plan and send the fit and sealed samples so that critical path is achieved while ensuring that all previous comments are incorporated in the sample and the fit is right
∎ Where necessary, make amendments to samples accordance with the comments made by the buyer
∎ Follow up and chase the sealer and strike off approval (or any other approval which required before commencing the bulk cutting) so that the sealers are approved before 16 days of PCD and strike off approvals one week ahead to PCD
∎ Ensure all testing requirements are fulfilled
∎ Ensure all systems are updated with required details
∎ Participate in the pre-production meeting and hand over the style to production
∎ Follow-up and monitor the TOP samples and submit approval on time
∎ Liaise with production to sort out the production related technical issues
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 to 8 years relevant work experience as a Sample Technician in Buying House/Factory
∎ Should have experience in both knit and woven (non-denim pants/jackets), pattern making for knit, woven, quality control / audit, basics on printing, embroidery and washing
∎ Should have experience in the following categories: Menswear, Womenswear, and Kidswear product safety and process controls
∎ Should have experience in CAD (Optitex), pre-production technical and quality
∎ Technical Requirements:
∎ Knowledge in textile and print will be a definite advantage
∎ Should have thorough knowledge about garment measurement & patterns
∎ Must have skills in examining and establishing proper quality operations and procedures
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication in English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Specially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
